Dele Alli could return to action in late October.
“He underwent surgery in the early summer but it is difficult to give a definitive return date as it has come to light that he is suffering from mental distress,” said physiotherapist and sports scientist Dr. Rahpal Brar, according to Everton news outlet Goodison News.
“We don’t have a lot of information about the exact nature of his mental issues and how they are limiting his recovery from injury. He is scheduled to return on October 21, but we will monitor his progress over the next week or two, and the return date may be pushed back further.”
Born in 1996, Alli was hailed as an all-time great talent during his time at Tottenham Hotspur. He played a key role in Mauricio Pochettino’s system. He played alongside Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, and Christian Eriksen in the “DESK” line that helped Spurs rise to the top of the table.
The reviews were glowing. He earned a call-up to the England national soccer team and was labeled a player worth more than £100 million ($166.3 billion). However, Alli’s glory days were short-lived. After Pochettino’s departure, his fortunes began to falter. His ups and downs caused Jose Mourinho to turn his back on him.
The situation was similar after that. He went through Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte, with little opportunity. Eventually, Alli left for Everton during the 2021-22 season. However, he didn”t rebound at Everton either. 먹튀검증
He moved to Besiktas on loan ahead of last season, but even there he was hampered by injuries and a falling out with coach Sérénol Guinness. He didn’t play at all from February of this year, and was eventually sidelined once again with another injury, returning to England in early April for treatment.
In the midst of all this, Ali recently made a surprising confession, which he shared on his YouTube channel The Overlap. “My mother was an alcoholic and I was molested at the age of six,” he said. I started smoking cigarettes at the age of 7, and by the time I was 8, I was dealing drugs,” he said.
“I was then adopted into a family at the age of 12. “When I think about what my new parents did for me, I really don’t think anyone could have done more. If God made people, it would be them,” he said, adding, “I don’t have much contact with my biological parents now.”
