Can Nathan Eovaldi, 33, give the Texas Rangers their first American League Championship Series (ALCS) berth in 12 years after returning from injury at the end of the regular season?

Texas will host the Baltimore Orioles in Game 3 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) on April 11 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Prior to the game, Texas announced that Iboldi will start Game 3 of the ALDS. He is coming off five days of rest following the American League Wild Card Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Iboldi pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball in Game 5 of the Wild Card Series against Tampa Bay to earn the win and clinch the team’s spot in the ALDS.

Previously, Iboldi went down with an injury in mid-July and struggled throughout September upon his return. In the last two games in particular, he gave up 12 runs in 8 1/3 innings.

However, some viewed this as preparation for postseason play, and Iboldi’s last outing against Tampa Bay showed that he was healthy.

Iboldi has historically been better in the postseason than in the regular season. He has a career postseason ERA of just 2.90.

In the 2018 World Series, he pitched all three games in relief, posting a 1.13 ERA to help the Boston Red Sox win the title. 레고토토

It will be interesting to see if Iboldi can continue the momentum from his last outing against Tampa Bay and give Texas the gift of their first ALCS appearance since 2011.
