Jeju United (Jeju) turned things around with their first win under acting head coach Chung Joguk.

Jeju scored back-to-back goals from Kim Gun-woong in the third minute and Yuri Jonatan in the 25th minute to earn a 2-0 victory in the 34th round of the Hana One Q K League 1 at home against Suwon at Jeju World Cup Stadium on Sunday, October 22 at 2:00 pm. The victory snapped Jeju’s seven-match winless streak (one draw and six defeats) and marked the first win under new head coach Chung Joguk.

After the game, acting coach Chung said, “I didn’t play well, but the players played really well. They deserved the win and deserve the applause. I’m grateful to the players. I always believed in them. I want to say thank you to the players.”

Acting head coach Chung Jo Gook added: “When you need courage, you need faith. I started Lee Ki-hyuk, who played well today, because he has a good training attitude and I have faith in him. Not only Lee, but the best eleven, the 18 players on the roster, and even those who couldn’t make it from the clubhouse to the field were united and believed in each other. I want to say thank you very much.” 먹튀검증

On Kim Gun-woong’s first goal, which was the result of a perfect tactical move, he smiled: “It was also a matter of faith and determination. We have not scored enough goals compared to corner kick opportunities. Coach Ha Dae-sung really worked hard, packed his head and prepared well.”

“Honestly, I imagined and waited for this moment and this victory a lot. I can’t say which one is better (compared to the glory of my playing days). The main character of our team right now is the squad. I’m grateful to all of them. I’m really happy that the picture that I dreamed of and that everyone painted came true.”
