Jeju United earned a dramatic draw away to Gangwon FC. The two sides are now level on two points.

Jeju drew 1-1 away to Gangwon in the 35th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2023 at Gangneung Sports Complex at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 28. Jeju conceded an early goal to Gabriel in the second half, but Jeong-woon equalized in stoppage time to make it 1-1. With the result, Jeju failed to secure a spot, but added a point to further improve their chances of staying up.

Acting head coach Chung Jo-kook said, “I want to thank the players once again. They fought harder than I did and didn’t give up, so we were able to get a valuable point. I will continue to believe in the players and try to move forward.”

On his team’s poor performance in the first half, he said, “As a coach, I didn’t react well to the opponent’s forward passes through strong pressure. After the first half, the players communicated well and responded. They did a good job, and again, I feel like I’m not good enough,” he said.

Jeju pushed for an equalizer in the second half with a wave of attacks. When asked if he thought the equalizer would come, acting head coach Chung Jo Gook said, “All the players played without giving up until the end to score the equalizer, and the result came. The fans came from far and wide, and we are grateful that we were able to give them a point.” 먹튀검증
